The 126H was a special indirectly heated version of the 126. The midpoint of the heater is connected to the cathode. This arrangement allowed the commonly used hum balance pots in AC receivers to function normally. A small internal capacitor formed from glass tubing, metal tubing and wire is connected from plate to grid. This added capacitance gave the tube a similar grid-plate capacitance as standard 126 types. See the close-up below to view the capacitor.
